Training

Both parent breeds of the Jackweiler are intelligent and you can find them at a variety of training facilities. Rottweilers are more consistent than Russells because they’re more willing to please. Early training is important as it sets boundaries for your Jackweiler before entering a competition. This will help you to prevent your dog from being overwhelmed in the audition setting, which will fall apart if not trained properly. It’s also likely that your dog can achieve success in obedience trials with proper training.

Groomings

When it comes to grooming, most Jackweilers will need low-maintenance hair. They will not require a lot of time and effort for grooming, as they typically have short hair.

However, both Jackweilers require their owners to brush their fur at least once or twice weekly. If you don’t brush them, there is a risk of them leaving hair in places that aren’t appealing. Regular baths ensure that your dog’s skin is healthy and reduces shedding. You should not over-bathe your pup since regular bathing removes the natural oils needed for their coat.

Jackweiler-Male vs Female

Females are typically independent, protective and highly trainable. One thing that’s been noted is that males could be more difficult to train when they’re young. This isn’t always the case, but it’s important to understand that this is not a set rule.
